Visual identity of Cinema Moderne and its sister brand, Post Modern post-production studio. Located in the heart of Montreal’s Mile-End, the cinema opened directly on the ground floor of the studio. It is thus occupied by the studio during the day, and opens its doors to the public in the evening and on the weekend. This dual role has led us to create a two-headed brand image that uses almost the same identity signs, but uses them differently. Although inspired by the codes specific to the classic cinema (retro signs, Hollywood stars, forms of banknotes, typography of marquise) we wanted to apply them in a very current minimalist style.
